  May 23rd - May 27th Nuts & Bolts We will not have school on Monday, May 30th. Our field trip to the zoo will be this FRIDAY, May 27th. Kids will need to  bring a sack lunch if you didn't order one from the lunch room.  Those who ordered lunches, your student does not need to bring anything :) Please make sure your student charges their computer every night. We have been getting lax about charging and many students are not prepared for learning. Kids should bring a full water bottle to school everyday as well as a healthy snack. Please continue to have them dress in layers until we know the weather has officially warmed up. What to Work on at Home To keep your student practicing the skills we are working hard on at school, please consider having them work on: Reading-  20-30 minutes/day.   May 16th - May 20th Nuts & Bolts Official SWIM dates:  May 18-20: 1:20-2:15 at the YMCA and possibly June 1 at the same times.  For swimming, your child will come to school in their regular clothes each day. They will bring a DRY towel and suit in a plastic bag each day. We will change at the pool, and then change back into our clothes before we return to school. Lunch and Chaperone notes were sent home about our field trip to the Potowatomi Zoo on May 27th.  Please read it and fill out and return it if you would like to join us or if your student will need a sack lunch from school. On Thursday, March 31st,  we will be going to the Planetarium for our first field trip. Then, we will celebrate March is Reading Month with a read in!  Kids can bring a blanket, pillow, stuffy, snack and drink for the read in. We are in need of  snacks  for kids who forget them. A box of individually wrapped cheezits, goldfish, granola bars, etc. are all wonderful options. Thank you in advance :) Keep your kids in layers! This spring weather can be tricky!
