January 24 - February 4

If you would still like a conference please let me know. Please make sure to send your child with coats and cold weather gear for outside recess when needed. Kids should bring a full water bottle to school everyday as well as a healthy snack. We are creating our own Valentines in class for the students to give to each other.  They can add treats to a zip lock bag if they would like. Martin Luther king Jr. Day.  Ice Skating Friday- dress warm! Testing This Week:  We will wrap up any unfinished testing: NWEA math and reading, F/P reading and spelling benchmark testing. Once testing is completed, I will reach out to those I need to conference with. Once those priority conferences are finished, I will open conferences to anyone else who is interested.   January 10 - January 14 This week we will be focusing on  Prudence.  We want to invite your student to  wear   maize & blue on Mondays  to celebrate the Positivity Project.  To check this out at home, you can access the P2 for Families at  https://posproject.org/p2-for-families/   The password is P2.  Nuts & Bolts Testing This Week:  NWEA Math on Tuesday (1/11), NWEA Reading on Wednesday (1/12), F/P Reading test this week as time allows and spelling test (on benchmark words, not words they've studied) on Thursday. All of these assesments were done at the beginning of the year. Doing them at this time allows me to check progress, see growth, make informed changes to any groups and help the students goal set for the remainder of the year. Because of testing this week,  there will be no spelling words. Conferences will take place at the end of the month. I will hold conferences for the students I feel I need to meet...
