   Classroom Blog September 23, 2021 Conference Sign UP Conference Sign Up meeting Link Picture Day is September 29. Homework This week students need to do 12 units on Lexia Core 5 this week and read for 20 minutes each night. Half of the reading time should be out loud.  IXL C.1, D.1, E.1-4 Social Studies We are starting our study of Michigan History with learning all about Michigan’s State Symbols. Reading We are reviewing how to build reading stamina and comprehension.  I am also taking this time to assess each student so I will have many pieces of data to share with you at conferences. Writing We are spending our writing time working on writing paragraphs about small moments. Students will be sharing their writing with you next week. Please take a moment to read their first attempts this year at quick personal narratives. Math We are working on understanding multiplication. Back to School Night Book orders are due Monday September 21 Scholastic Book Order Math:       Unit one in Illustrative Math is focused on working with and creating scaled graphs and representing and solving multiplication problems. Writing:      Our first unit is creating a three paragraph personal narrative essay.  Homework This week students need to do 12 units on Lexia Core 5 this week and read for 20 minutes each night.
